In fact, this question should not be a major issue. Ask yourself what IP and network will you use for the account you normally use, then the answer comes naturally. If it is an APP, then use a mobile network or WIFI. If it is a computer, use home broadband and log in to the web version. Such a simple and clear answer, why do we still need to talk about it separately? Because our business determines that one or two accounts are far from meeting the business needs, more accounts mean that more IPs or devices are needed. Can’t you register multiple accounts with the same IP? Of course, you can, but in this case, you will need multiple devices, such as multiple computers or mobile phones, which again involves an environmental problem, which is not the scope of this article.
The number of IPs attached to everyone’s home broadband is always limited. Therefore, in the face of strong demand in the market, some companies are naturally born to provide such services professionally. The most common ones are 911 S5, Luminati (already renamed to BRIGHT DATA), NetNut, GEOSURF, ABM.NET, Proxy-Seller, Proxy-N-VPN, Proxy-Cheap, Proxys.io.
**Please carefully distinguish the good and bad of the product of every company. This paper will only make a comparison between the two companies that use more, namely 911 and Luminati.
1. 911 S5
The 911 S5 is charged by the number of IPs used.
911 is an old S5 provider, most of which are home IPs, developed by the Chinese. Now the company is registered in the British Virgin Islands, without having a way to verify when it was established, because it was only a service created by an individual. Combined with 911’s own client, it helped many people and solved many problems in IP and environmental isolation services when other isolation supporting procedures were not perfect in the early stage.
It is widely known in the industry of Facebook because there is a well-known Facebook account program that can only use 911 as an IP solution. While opening the popularity of this industry, it also brings some problems to 911 itself. Because a large number of IPs are used for Facebook account queries, many IPS have been polluted, and some have been included in Facebook’s blacklist. As ordinary users, we have no way to know which IP is available and which IP has been polluted, which will cause a great blow to our business. For example, logging in with these IPs will lead to immediate locking of the account, or just a little procedure will be identified as a high-risk behavior, leading to account verification, etc. However, due to its simple use, low price, and a large number of users, its price has increased recently. Last year, an IP needs about less than $0.08.
There is another problem with the IP service of 911. Each IP is not online for a long time. Oftentimes, an IP will be disconnected in a short time. Then you need to turn off all ongoing businesses, reselect an IP, and then continue to open the web page and proceed to the next step.
2. Luminati (Bright Data)
Bright Data is charged by the IP traffic used.
Bright data is a new name that just was changed in 2021. Its original name was Luminati, which was founded in 2014, it is located in Israel. It is one of the most famous integrated IP providers in the world. It has the world’s largest IP resource library, including data center IP, home IP, mobile network IP, and other resources. It also has a powerful API, which can be combined with various programs for a seamless IP connection.
Behind the powerful IP resource mobilization and control ability, Bright Data also has a very noble price.
As can be seen from the above figure, the traffic price of data center IP is only $0.6/GB, while residential IP (i.e. home IP) can be as high as $30/GB.
Included among these:
①It refers to the home IP only located in the country, such as the location of the United States.
②It refers to the IP that locates specific cities, such as the detailed location of the United States/Illinois/Chicago.
What is the difference between the two?
The IP of bright data will also lose its connection, so a new IP is needed to replace it. For example, if we log in to a Facebook account, use Chicago IP and select ②, the system will automatically reselect an IP from the Chicago IP pool, which is the most friendly for the account itself, because we don’t use IP across regions in a short period.
If we use ①, we still open an account with the IP of Chicago, and the IP loses its connection at this time, the system may immediately call an IP of Los Angeles to continue. You should know that Chicago and Los Angeles are separated by more than half of the United States. At this time, Facebook will think that our account has an anomaly in logging in, and one can imagine the impact of this behavior on the security of the account.
