IP is an important data item for major companies including Facebook to control account risk. Therefore, for many types of Facebook accounts, login IP has become a very important part. When it comes to the importance of IP, it actually refers to the type of network used by the login account. Generally speaking, it can be divided into the following types below:
Data Center IP (IPv4)
This is what we often call Server IP
Home IP (IPv4)
Home Broadband IP (since China’s IP cannot directly login to Facebook, so this doesn’t refer to China’s Home IP)
Mobile Network IP (IPv4)
As the name suggests, it refers to the IP of the mobile data network
IPv6 IP
IP address under the new generation internet protocol
Let's briefly talk about IPv4 and IPv6. IPv4 is the internet protocol of the last generation. The address length is 32 bytes and the total number is 232, which means it can only provide 4,294,967,296 IPs in total. In addition, it has existed for a long time. So basically, all IPv4 IPs can find the specific type. In contrast, the address length of IPv6 is 128 bytes, and the total number is 2128, which is almost endless. On the one hand, still, it has not been widely popularized. On the other hand, due to the huge number, IPv6’s IP cannot accurately find the specific network type at present. Therefore, we list IPv6 as a separate item.
Although data center IP is the easiest to obtain and has the cheapest selling price, we do not recommend using Data Center IP for the following reasons below:
Data Center IP is for public use. This IP has been used by party A today and may be used again by party B tomorrow. If party A has already used this to register an account and causes problems with the account, then party B used it to do such work again, there is a high probability that there will be problems, having no way to ensure the security of the account.
Facebook is a platform with social attributes. From the perspective of the platform, a normal person is unlikely to use the Data Center IP to register an account and use it for a long time. Many people in China use scientific Internet tools to register Facebook accounts, which are often restricted, often controlled, blocked, or constantly asked to upload ID/s, and anything related to this.
To ensure the security of the Facebook account, it is advised to use the 2nd, 3rd, 4th types of IPs mentioned above. We will further unfold these types of IP in detail in the posts later.
