In the last month or two, a new account problem began to appear frequently, namely insufficient funds. Unlike other account deactivations, Facebook did not give an appropriate explanation and effective solution to the insufficient funds but simply left such prompt in an abstract and perfunctory manner.
At this time, in the payment settings, we are given the prompt of account disabled, but no matter whether we open the ads manager or account quality page, there is no relevant prompt of disabled, and everything is normal.
Now let’s look at the three options Facebook gives us: retry, add a new card, and modify the budget.
Let’s directly try these three options. Usually:
If we retry, a failed to deduct prompt appears, and there is no reaction after adding a new card and editing the budget.
When asking the customer service, the answer that the customer service gives us is that it doesn’t show any abnormal status of the account, so let’s first think that this is an account bug of Facebook.
What should I do about this bug seeming prompt? After repeated attempts, two feasible practices are summarized:
Ignore the prompt and switch the advertisement on or off as usual.
This is the suggestion given by the customer service. After trying, it was found that only one of the many accounts with insufficient funds prompt can spend normally. Although the other accounts show that the advertisement is active, it will still not be launched and spent normally. Therefore, in the case of this prompt, there is a small probability that the prompt can be eliminated and make the cost normal when you ignore the prompt and switch the advertisement on and off as usual.
Click repeatedly to try again.
When Facebook prompts that the fund is insufficient, according to the official explanation, the balance of your card is not enough to pay the reserved deduction, so how much is the reserved deduction? After a series of attempts, it is found out that the reserved deduction may be your new advertising budget, or it can also be the current deduction bill amount of the account (high probability). However, in many cases, even if the new advertising budget is very low and the card balance is much larger than the advertising day budget and deduction bill, a prompt of insufficient funds will still appear. This makes me believe that this is a bug of Facebook.
After clicking retry, a prompt indicating your deduction has failed will appear, but after repeatedly clicking retry, you will finally be prompted that the deduction was successful. This method was unintentionally found, but following this method, almost all accounts with insufficient funds prompt will return to normal. In a certain period, you may be prompted to fail no matter how you try again, and you need to wait for some time before trying again. It is recommended that the card reserves sufficient balance in advance.
In addition, as for how to avoid such account problems, my suggestion is to ensure that there is more money than the bill amount in the preferred payment method in advance before advertising. Although it is not completely effective, this problem can be avoided to the greatest extent.
This should be Facebook’s response to avoid users delaying their bills, but it doesn’t seem to be implemented reasonably at present.
