Recently, FB accounts with relatively high daily limits have been frequently reduced (for example, the advertising budget limit of $1500 per day has been reduced to $25 per day). In combination with the recent frequent page restricted, let's talk about what causes the account limit to be reduced.
As for the account being limited– the amount of daily spend is limited, FB gives the following explanation:
Spending limits for ad accounts subjected to DDSL can be occasionally adjusted based on our dynamic risk evaluation. Daily spend limits can be limited further for ad accounts that continue to receive negative customer feedback or continue to not adhere to our Advertising Policies.
In other words, FB will continuously conduct a risk assessment on the account, and the assessment standard is whether there is any violation of the advertising policy, which is directly reflected in the complaints and rejected advertisements.
There are two main reasons why advertisements become rejected (failed):
- FB believes that the advertisement violates relevant policies.
- The page for posting ads is restricted.
Let's talk about the first reason first. If your advertisement does violate the rules, FB will naturally impose sanctions on your account. However, since the preliminary review of advertisements is a machine review, there is a large probability of misjudgment. Even “white hat” advertisements (which refer to the operation within the scope of platform operation rules) still have a probability of being misjudged. At this time, we can apply for reexamination. When FB confirms that it is a misjudgment, the rejected advertisement will be re-launched. However, even if FB admits that the first trial is a misjudgment, it will permanently leave a record – when FB conducts the risk assessment, it will still think that this account has once violated the advertising policy.
Therefore, this will lead to a phenomenon: your advertisement has never really violated the rules, but due to FB's repeated misjudgments, your account will eventually be limited.
Then there is the second reason, the page is restricted. When the page is restricted, the advertisement will also become rejected, and FB will also make a record of the previous violation, thus limiting the daily amount of the account. Recently, many accounts’ spend limit has been reduced, most of which are caused by page restrictions. As FB continues to strengthen the risk control of the page, the new, old, and unrestricted pages are doomed. The restriction of the page is accompanied by the rejection of advertisements, which eventually leads to accounts being limited or even direct suspension.
At present, the frequency of page problems is much higher than that of advertisements. I don't know how long FB's strong risk control on the page will last. Now, we can only choose to use the page that just lifted the restrictions to avoid the account being connected to the greatest extent.
