Navdeep Singh, Meta's product manager, shared the latest progress of Meta's support for NFT on Twitter
Following the launch of NFT support on Instagram in May, Meta and some creators launched digital collection support on the Facebook platform.
Instagram supports NFT created on Ethereum and Polygon blockchain, and Facebook probably supports the same blockchain. There is no charge for publishing or sharing NFT on Instagram and Facebook. Currently, it does not provide the function of turning NFT posts into advertisements.
According to the picture shared by Navdeep Singh, users will have a "digital collection" tag on their Facebook profile, where they can display their NFT, which represents their ownership. Users will be able to connect the cryptocurrency wallet to their Facebook profile, and can also convert NFT into Facebook posts. Users can like, comment on and share them.
Meta has not disclosed whether or when NFT functions will be available to all users.
Martin Bryant, a technology and media consultant: Meta recently started testing changes to Facebook groups to make them look more like a discord. He hopes to provide Web3 people with a home.
