Recently, because many users refuse to pay the advertisement bill, this behavior has seriously affected the revenue of Facebook’s advertising business. Therefore, Facebook has implemented the policy of prepayment for advertising expenses. After you get a new account and publish the first advertising series aimed at “conversion”, the system will give you a credit evaluation. Most new accounts cannot escape the prepayment, as shown in the following figure:
After deducting the prepayment amount, don’t worry about spending more on advertising expenses. This money will probably be refunded. Check your card bill records and you will find a significant difference between each prepayment and the regular deduction of advertising expenses. As shown in the following figure, “FACEBK ADS” and “FACEBK XXXXXXXXXX (10-digit code randomly composed of numbers and letters)” are in the transaction remarks.
In most cases, the bill marked with “FACEBK ADS” is the prepayment, and the amount of each prepayment and refund will be displayed in the bill.
Other displays, such as “FACEBK XXXXXXXXXX”, “FBPAY XXX” and “Facebook XXX”, are mostly not prepayments. As for the source of these bills, a separate article will be published later, which is not the scope of this article.
The prepayment generally starts from $25, then slowly extends from $50 $75 $125 $175, and so forth.
The prepayment is not the advertising fee. Usually, when the account bill reaches $25, the prepayment amount of $25 will be refunded, and t a prepayment amount of $50 (for the next bill) will be charged, and so forth.
Occasionally, there will be cases of no refund or slow refund. Here we recorded a cycle after observing hundreds of accounts: In most cases, the refund time depends on the speed of how you spend, that is, your budget. When you reach a bill that has been paid in advance, you will receive a refund within one day. Of course, there are also a few cases where the refund is very slow or the amount is not refunded, and there are also cases where the refund can be made within 7 to 30 days at the longest. At present, we have no perfect solution for a few cases where a refund has not been made.
Summary: At present, FB’s changes towards people refusing to pay advertisement bills are still in the initial stage. There are many bugs and unreasonable places, resulting in a chaotic overall environment and an unjustified increase in advertising fees. It is recommended to often check and compare your advertising bills and card bills to find the hidden mystery.
This article is a description of several situations in dealing with the refund of the prepayment amount. The remaining irrationalities need to be weighed slowly by Facebook. Many changes may be just tests, and it is not certain whether they will be retained or continued.
